Toyota Uganda Ltd has established a new corporate headquarter and branch in Namanve Industrial Area, a move orchestrated to improve customer service delivery and position the company for sustainable long-term growth. Operations at the ultra-modern facility in Namanve, conveniently located on the Jinja road highway, commenced in January this year.
Established in 2005 and owned by Toyota Tsusho Corporation, a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation Japan, Toyota Uganda is the exclusive distributor of Toyota vehicles, Case Tractors, Hino Trucks, and non-exclusive distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Uganda maintaining a stock of over 180 vehicles and 250 motorcycles in bond.
The Toyota Uganda Managing Director Mahmood Omar clarified that the operations at the Kampala Toyota branch on 1st Street, Industrial Area will continue.
“With expanding our branch and operations to Namanve, we will be better equipped to speed decision making, share best practices, and leverage the combined strength of our employees. This, in turn, will strengthen our ability to put customers first and to continue providing great products that exceed their expectations. Ultimately, enabling greater collaboration and efficiencies across Toyota will help us become a more dynamic, innovative and successful organization in Uganda. The facility is seated on five acres with a built in area of 5,900 square meters comprising of a vehicle showroom, extensive parts warehouse, increased service bays, after sales for Hino trucks,body and paint workshop, parts warehouse and a bonded stock yard.
